Ceylon Cinnamon
Harvested from the bark of the Cinnamomum Verum tree, a moderately sized bushy evergreen tree endemic to Sri Lanka, Ceylon Cinnamon is commonly called ‘true cinnamon’ across the globe for good reason. Often preferred over other varieties due to its unique flavour and aroma, it is proven to provide excellent health benefits. In the Sri Lankan time-honoured cinnamon cultivation tradition, individual strips of the inner bark are hand-rolled into cigar-shaped quills. Cloves are the immature buds of the evergreen tree Syzygium Aromaticum which flourishes in the humid tropical regions of the country such as Kandy.
